Horizon T202 Treadmill

I purchased my T202 at a local sporting goods store last week. They delivered and installed the machine for FREE and hauled off my old noisy proform treadmill. They also service the treadmill if it ever needs service. I would suggest if you like this product, look for a local store that can handle the delivery and service

I push the limits of the weight capacity of this thing and it runs just as smooth and quiet as when my wife ( who is 1/3 of my weight) uses it. Great treadmill!!

Excellent delivery system. After reading all the reviews were were a little scared about the assembly, but it went perfectly. My husband and my son did it in 2 hours, without having to call Horizon for anything. Parts were complete and the all fitted. However, there is no option for a quickstart, and in order to get it going it takes a while.
Overall a great treadmill.

I purchased this treadmill for running and now the technician is saying it is not a good one for this because somehow he is not able to level it. I think he does not know how so if anyone experienced this please let me know how to do it myself

Arrived on time - In good working order. So far it meets my expectations as a mid-line affordable treadmill. I have only had it a week.

I wish I could review the treadmill, but unfortunately the delivery driver dropped the box in my driveway. This caused the belt to tear, the side track to break and the console to crack right in the middle. The good news, Horizon sent out the parts, no questions asked. Now we are awaiting the technician to come out to repair!

So far so good... The treadmill meets what it was advertised to do. I am happy with my decision.

Very simple to use and very easy to understand how to program specific workouts. Very satisfied.

Quite happy with the T202, but disappointed with the fan - it does not direct the flow of air onto the person but rather above the person, thus making it worthless for cooling. The direction of the air flow should be corrected on future models.

The treadmill is exactly what I ordered and it matches the high ratings assessed my Consumer Reports. However, the company over-charged me $300 and still has not credited my account - even after several requests. I will never purchase another item from Horizon nor will I recommend their products to anyone.

Easy to assemble and use. Arrived with minor damage from shipping but a quick call to the customer service center resulted in the damaged part being sent immediately. Great design, good power, and neat innovative features to track goals and listen to music through built-in speakers; can also keep cool through built-in fan.

programs properly have a warm-up routine, but lack a cool-down at the end. That can and should be changed.

I have previously owned Horizon products and opted to purchase yet two more items the treadmill and a bike. I had no issues with install and I do feel after shopping around Horizon equipment is best bang for your money for this given price range. I also feel confident given previous experiences that if problem occur years later,their repair operations are available to resolve my issues. Great products !

Was glad to find the treadmill I wanted on line with free shipping and an additional one year warranty. However, I didn't know it would take a long time for the product to get to me and didn't know that a 43' semi would be delivering the product. Had to make a few adjustments to get the treadmill delivered and a good place for the big truck to unload. Husband didn't have any trouble with assembly and we have been pleased. Still concerned what university hands out degrees for "compact packing" but it had to be an engineering school. Would recommend this product to anyone that is interested in a home treadmill. We are pleased now that it's delivered, unpacked and put together.

With one exception, instructions were clear and not overly complicated. The exception is the process of tensioning and centering the running belt. After lubricating the running deck, you must retension the belt, but it is very easy for the belt to become very crooked and even overlap itself. To properly center the belt, I had to remove the plastic motor cover. This allows you to see centering of the belt on the roller near the motor and to access the adjustable tension bolt at the motor end as well. The requirement to lubricate the roller deck periodically and go through retensioning and centering is a major inconvenience! Also, Horizontal Fitness should install an adjustable vent in front of the fan to make it usable. It is in a fixed upward positon that renders it useless shooting air over one's head. On the plus side, the treadmill is very quiet and all functions worked as advertised.

Easy to put together (one person, going slowly, but then two to move it); the belt was a pain to lubricate, and I wonder why it is not lubricated for the first time at the factory.

Principal disappointment -- the inflexibility of the three "programs," and the absence of any possibility of making a custom program. I really got used to that on our prior (Nortrack) treadmill.

We shopped around and found this to be not only of high quality but also reasonably priced. The size is great, features are easy to use and it is fairly simple to set up. The only hangup from giving this a solid 5 stars is the instructions do tell you that the tension and alignment are preset at the factory and should not have to be adjusted before use. This is faulty because it also states that you need to lubricate the belt before the first use. To lubricate the belt, you must bring the unit out of tension adjustment. It is slightly misleading, but not a big deal. Overall a great machine so far and I look forward to many years and many hours on the machine!!

I am very happy with my purchase. It gives me exactly want I want in terms of features, and ease of use. The size turned out to be perfect for the area available.

I purchased this treadmill based on the Consumer Reports review, iPod feature and reasonable price. I am not disappointed! It did take two people to set it up but the directions were clear and you should have no problem if the directions are followed exactly. The iPod feature works great with my iPod touch but I cannot get any sound when I use my old (very old, 2004) iPod mini. The "Nike + iPod" feature works great! It is nice to be able to record all your workouts. Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust the direction of the fan so I cannot feel it even when it is on high- I guess I am too short! The operation is smooth and the controls are easy to use. All in all, it's a great value and would recommend it highly.

The treadmill purchase was a replacement as ours gets used heavily. I was disappointed that at 0% incline, the treadmill was not truly flat. The customer service rep told me that "experienced runners" don't mind this, which I guess was supposed to put me in my place. I have successfully used the treadmill to train for a half marathon and am continuing to use it almost daily. When it wears out, however, I will probably look into a higher end treadmill.

The treadmill has been good as expected except for the ipod connection. I connected ipod 6th generation and the sound was ok, not a great thing, then it stopped playing after two minutes; and the reason I believe is that I got an electric shock touching the ipod, just a minor shock, enough to worry about myself and my ipod; lucky no damage to the ipod.

Product delivered with faulty rear roller, loose screws rolling around motor compartment, and displaced front roller adjustment screw. One control panel support came with a deep gouge in the metal, which was not shipping damage. Telephone customer support was excellent, no prolonged waiting on hold. Was pleased that a home visit by technician for repair was offered. Also pleased that warranty was extended (though I had to ask) after almost a month out of service due to above problems. No further problems so far. I would hesitate to purchase your products again and would not recommend them due to the poor quality control resulting in problems from time of delivery

Delivered timely, Good and detailed instructions for assembly(you don't need to pay someone to do this if you can follow instructions). It's a very nice piece of equipment that functions well and has lots of extras we haven't even begun to utilize.

I was skeptical of purchasing a product sight unseen but relied on the Consumer Reports rating and I'm extremely happy with the T202 treadmill. Set up was easy and the ride is not only smooth, but quiet as well. I love having the built in I-pod dock/speaker system and the cooling fan is a nice feature. It's a great product at a great price!!

Easy to put together; however, it is difficult to lubricate the belt; even with significant untightening, it is hard to get something underneath the belt to put the oil.

I like the settings and the smoothness of the machine. Quiet as well. Nice to have the heart rate monitor (a great feature). I get a great workout and the ipod is a great feature.
I recommended the machine to my mother and she purchased one and loves it.

Great Product and the price is right!!!

I received this treadmill in Feb. 2011, and have used it 3-5x/wk. I love it!! It was easy to assemble, and requires little to no adjustments. It has paid for itself and then some! I highly recommend this product as it is a durable, cost-effective, high-quality treadmill.

Use the T202 mostly in the winter months
or on rain days in the interim. We are very

We really like this treadmill. the only thing that I can think of that is dumb is the little fan. It blows but not enough to help and it doesn't reach to my face and I am 5'5"

Very happy with the T202. The whole family uses it during the winter. Equivalent to the competition for a lot less money.

Searching around the popular brands, I find each have several treadmills in this price range. Honestly, every other brand's treadmills out do this one in every way. I don't know how or why you sell this. These other reviews must be totally made up. The warranty? It offers the least coverage. There is nothing about this treadmill that I can find on this site that makes it stand out above others. Perhaps someone can help me.

I could not be more pleased with the quality of the T202 or its ease of operation! I would highly recommend it!

Consumer Report rated the Horizon T202 as their top home, budget priced treadmill....looked up the model on-line and decided it was the one for me. It is very quiet and has all the bells and whistles that I need for my daily workout....I am in the building mode right now but will work into the programed workouts before long.

The T202 was a snap to put together and is a wonderful piece of equipment. We looked at, and priced, several brands of treadmills and this one kept coming out on top. In our opinion, it is the best treadmill that you can buy for the price. Horizon makes several models and I have a feeling that they all are top-notch. This was a great purchase!

Our family was looking for a treadmill that would be easy to assemble, straightforward to use and could handle our above average weight. Assembly instructions were clear and not overly complicated, but did require two people to put it together. One thing to note is that our belt was very crooked. It took over half an hour to make sure it was aligned correctly. From what we've read, it's important to check this periodically to prevent unecessary belt wear/early replacement.
The T202 gets about 6 hours of use a week between two people, we only walk at this point. We don't use the iPOD or advanced features. It's not too loud, the TV can still be heard over it. So far it's been fantastic, the suspension is great and neither of us has experienced undue joint pain.
The price is a little higher than most treadmills at this feature/function level, but again, we feel it was worth it since we are overweight (we were looking for a powerful motor and wide deck) and the warranty seems to be one of the best ones around.
