Easy to assemble and VERY quiet while running. Nice product that I would recommend to a friend.

I am thrilled with my treadmill. It came in a couple of days late, but was worth the wait. It was pretty easy to put together. It takes more than one person to get it together.
It has been in daily use between my family members and I. We are all pleased. I am glad I waited to buy a treadmill and spent time doing my research.

Horizon clearly knows what they are doing. I don't take value for granted. Assembly was reasonably easy. Features are great for a budget-priced system. No fitness celebrities or satellite maps. Just a very well-engineered piece of equipment built to deliver. Everything is intuitive, functional, comfortable and aesthetic. If I upgrade later I'm going straight back to Horizon. Looking forward to the "road" ahead.

I really enjoy the treadmill. However, it was difficult to assemble, especially for one person. Was very frustrating...especially with the console...the holes did not line up.

we bought this machine in january and this is the best by we did . compared to on from wallmart tha we had to returne tha was already broken in the box.

Took longer than expected to receive, 1/4/13 but was during the holidays. Estes delivery brought it up 3 stairs and into my home, very nice! I put it together myself, no problems with the tools they provided. Very sturdy, runs well and not loud at all.

I put this machine together in less than an hour...Very simple instructions and all bolts were in their numbered bag..I was running shortly after..I am very pleased with this unit an highly recommend it for anyone. The only issue was with ABF Trucking company..I was told 3 different days the unit would be here so I lost 2 days of work waiting for a truck to show up. The driver did help me get it into my house so I won't complain about him.

Purchased the T101 as a way for my college child to do some preseason track training. Box was very heavy but I had help getting it down a flight of stairs. Installation was relatively simple and easy. Out of 12 bolts we had to install, one gave us some fits and would not install straight. It was one of the upper bolts on the control panel where the second one is holding securely. Appears to be good to go. My athlete loves the give in the cushioning, loves the controls and really loves the jack for listening to music.

Like so many other people my treadmill arrived with broken parts. The box did not appear damaged but the packaging inside the box was not sufficient. I don't know how many reviews Horizon needs to read before they address this issue. It is very frustrating to open the box and already have to replace parts. I almost did not order this treadmill because of all the reviews about broken parts. At least customer service was good about sending replacements but that is not the point. I hope someone in the company can finally realize that it is better to fix your packaging than to keep sending new parts to upset customers.

A Huge Disappointment:
I have been using treadmills at health clubs and gyms for many years. When I decided to buy one to use at home, I did a lot of research, both online and at sporting goods stores. I found that there was a huge price range and dozens of brands and models of treadmills available. My information indicated that a treadmill costing $2,000 to $6,000 was designed for intensive use in health clubs and gyms. Treadmills costing $1,000 to $2,000 were for heavier users and runners. Since I weigh 190 pounds, and use the treadmill to walk 3 miles a day, I was told that a treadmill costing $600 to $1,000 would be more than adequate. Based on overall good reviews I chose the Horizon T101 that retailed for $600.
My first disappointment was finding how much maintenance is needed. The owners manual indicates that you should vacuum under the machine weekly, and remove the motor cover and vacuum that area at least monthly. In addition, the deck must be lubricated every 150 miles, and this is no trivial task. Lubricating the deck requires that you loosen the adjustment screws on the rear roller sufficiently to get your hand under the belt. You then wipe down the deck, with your hand between the tread-belt and deck, and apply a half bottle of the brand of silicone specified by the treadmill manufacturer, at the location where your feet land during use of the treadmill. You then re-tighten the rear roller adjustment screws to the proper tension, and center the belt on the roller. Unfortunately, there are no gauges or tools for determining when the tension on the tread-belt is correct. If the rear roller is over-tightened, an additional load is placed on the belt and the motor, causing the belt to stretch, the motor to overheat, and the bearings in the roller to fail prematurely. The very frustrating process involves loosening, tightening and centering repeatedly until the tread-belt no longer slips on the front roller when you stand on the belt, and is centered.
For the first 10 months of use, I was walking 2 miles a day on the treadmill. I was advised that I needed to be walking 3 miles a day, and that is when my problems with the Horizon T101 began. My wife complained that the house smelled like something electrical was overheating. I had been religious in the maintenance on the machine, but in the 12th month of use the treadmill began stopping suddenly after about 35 minutes of walking. It would then display an error code “E1” on the display. I contacted Horizon, and was instructed to perform an extensive variety of tests. After several more discussions, they sent a new motor, circuit board, and rear roller. They sent the local technician out to install the parts. I was able to use the treadmill 3 more times after the new parts were installed before the machine resumed shutting down after about 35 minutes. As before, the motor and circuit board were very hot, and the shutdown was due to a thermal overload safety switch. I Emailed Horizon, but they did not respond.
The local technician who had installed the parts (a contractor, not a Horizon employee) followed up with me a few weeks after the repairs. Upon learning of my continued problems, he contacted Horizon on my behalf. They told him that they felt they had gone above and beyond, and that no further assistance would be provided. I contracted with an electrician to come to my home and test the circuitry to ensure that I was in compliance with the stated requirements of Horizon. The circuitry in my home did not contribute to the problems with the treadmill. I have since ordered a new deck and tread-belt, and contracted with the technician to install them when they arrive. When that has been completed, I will have spent more than the original purchase price of the treadmill on testing, maintenance and repairs, all coming just after the one year anniversary of starting to use the machine.
The technician commented to me that “You can NOT buy a $600 treadmill if you are going to use it every day! For that kind of use you must spend at least a couple of thousand dollars on a treadmill.” Apparently, a $600 treadmill is only for impressing your friends, or for using a few days a year after the holidays!
Before buying any treadmill, I advise that you read the customer reviews from every source you can find. Ignore the positive reviews, but pay close attention to the negative reviews, and especially to how well the manufacturers responds to customer complaints. Also, go online and read the owners manual for any machine you are considering. Review the maintenance requirements, and the warranty. Pay close attention to the number and type of conditions that void the warranty. Some treadmill manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty on some parts, but then define so many conditions that will void the warranty, that it is actually worthless.

The machine is easy enough to assemble. I did not like the fact that you have to lube it before use. It took me an hour to get the belt back tensioned and centered correctly. Also I am 6'4 and the bars are pretty low but no big deal. On the other hand it is well made, smooth, quiet and looks professional.

A few things up front:
I am not a “jim-rat”
I have always been in fair shape, but a little more than 6 years ago I blew out a disk in my lower back. By the time I had surgery to remove the disk I was suffering from some permanent nerve damage. This left part of my right foot and some of my right leg with either little or no feeling. I can’t run, but I walk pretty well as long as I watch where I put that right foot. A rock or just poor placement will fold that foot right up. I have torn ligaments in my ankle twice so far and hate going through that. I decided to get a treadmill to use in conjunction with my floor exercises and free-weights. This works great for me and I average a 60 to 90 minute workout about 3 or 4 times a week. This is quite an accomplishment since I put in 14 hr days at work so time is always short in supply.
Anyway earlier this year my old treadmills motor went out. I started researching and just for the heck of it went to the Treadmill Doctor to see what they might recommend. While they freely state that they don’t usually recommend lower priced units yours was an exception. The kicker for me was that for about twice the price of replacing my motor on the old unit your T101 with a lifetime motor warrantee was a no brainer for me. I ordered it in May and have been waiting to see how it does before writing this review.
I am impressed! It was quite heavy in the box but I managed to wrestle the beast into my bedroom, get it unboxed, took parts inventory, and set it up the following day (one person). There was only a slight issue getting the display unit aligned with the holes and in place would be easier with two people, but patience pays off. I have been using the T101 since May 2012. It is a supper quiet, amazingly stable platform (I appreciate that), and seems to work effortlessly. The only thing I could ask for is the capability of displaying speed and incline simultaneously. I love this machine. It is so solid that it actually increases your desire to use it. I hope to spend many years and miles with my Horizon T101 under my sometimes unsteady feet.
That’s it.
Thank you,
Ross

I've had the machine for 6 months. Between May 5 and June 15 I have had to lubricate the belt and reset the machine 11 times. The machine is used for about 2 hours a day.
My previous ProForm machine NEVER needed to be lubricated or reset.
Unless you like your machine to stop unexpectedly I would not recommend it. Otherwise its O.K.

I haven't had the treadmill very long but was quite happy about the quality for the price. It is very similar to the one I used at the gym.The only problem I had was in shipping. They really should use another company if everyone is having problems. I was called and was told my delivery would be next a.m. between 11 and 1:00. I stayed home and finally called locally to be told it wasn't on the truck and it would be there the next day - no apologies. Then got called later to say it would be in on Wednesday! Finally got a person who apologized and made sure I received the treamill on time.

This product was delivery in a box that was torn. Once opened and as the parts were unwraped it was discovered almost every part that other than the motor was scratched, dented, torn, cracked and in need of replacing. I still do not have the parts and cannot use it as the roller is riped also. Not happy , regret buying online for the convienence of delivery instead of going to my local store and paying to have it delivered. will never, everbuy from this company again. The entire treadmill should have been replaced . Instead I have to wait to get replacement parts , then wait for someone to come here and put it together. So far I've been able to look at my treadmill but not use it. Not a good use of my $500.00 plus. Unhappy in California

I live the treadmill. It was exactly what I was looking for to walk on. Wish the fan vents could be moved.

I replaced a Horizon T63 with the T101 model. It was easy to assemble for me. I like the controls and the cup holders and I especially like the ability to plug in a cord from my TV to use the speakers on the T101 as TV speakers.
There are several negatives though:
I am 6'1" tall and the hand rails and heart rate sensors are way below my normal reach so I have to bend over to grab the heart rate sensors. This gets worse as I raise the incline level to 8.0 since my hands get farther away the higher I go up.
The side rails are very narrow so when you step off the treadmill, you have to be careful to place your feet on the side rails.
The fan blows the air off to the left of my face and it is not adjustable so the fan is not very useful.
Rating:
This product can stop by itself and show "E1" and "E2" some times. So far, the treadmill has stopped or reset by itself two times in a row.
Rating:
Box came completed shattered. I was amazed that the product wasn't destroyed and I know after reading lots of reviews that this seems to be a continuing problem. That is one thing that you MUST fix!!! I had a dent in the speaker but other than that it seems fine.

good product - difficult to wheel around but a good treadmill

I received my treadmill late and damaged and the customer service was not helpful.

The T101 is a great value and is providing me with exercising opportunities that I've not had before. The T101 is quiet and sturdy and the set up process was not difficult. The output from the fan could be stronger, but other than that, I'd recommend this product to others.

My 17 year old grand daughter and I love this treadmill, very quiet , easy to use, well built, the fan is a plus. Definitely good buy.

I have only had it for a few days but so far so good.
I received NO order confirmation.
I received NO shipping information from Horizon. I was completely in the dark until the shipping company contacted me.
Assembly:The screw holes were poorly aligned making it very difficult for a single person assembly but that's about what I expect anymore. A U.S. named company selling lousy Chinese quality. Once I got it assembled, it does what I need it to do. As someone else noted, Horizon needs to work on customer service.

This machine is sturdy and very quite. The plastic parts could be a little better but overall this machine is awesome. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something in this price range.

After I did a bunch of research for treadmills under $700, this one seemed perfect. And now that I have had it a couple of weeks, it is! Im a big guy- 240lbs and the cushion on the deck is awesome! Its a very solid treadmill with nice little added features thrown in. The warranty is nice too! Its a great buy!!!!

Replaced 18 year old treadmill with this one and couldn't be happier. Primarily used for indoor walking, live in Wash. State by my wife and myself on a daily basis, unless the sun comes out! Was surprised how quite this unit is compared to my older treadmill and lighter too! Thanks again..

Would have preferred not to have to loosen belt and lubricate it out of the box, but was able to figure it out.

I have just started using this machine and am extremely satisfied with the quality and ease of use of this treadmill. It is much easier for me to do my exercising in my home and this allows me to do it when it is convenient and will be healthier for me in the long run.

The trucking company called and scheduled delivery. The driver helped me push it up the stairs and move into my spare bedroom. Great delivery company. The treadmill was not difficult to assemble, once the bottom bolts were loosened up. Don't tighten anything until ALL bolts have been started.
My only complaint is the heart monitor does not work too well. My wife and I have been using this daily for about 1.5 hours and like it as much as one can like a treadmill.

Very pleased with purchase. Very quiet and smooth. Only issue is location of power switch, inconvient.
Rating:
Really nice sturdy treadmill for the price. But, the console is lightweight plastic & it came cracked. It's on back order as well. Also, bolts did not fit into the holes on the arms. Cust service had to send some extra parts to make it fit. But, in spite of these flaws, it is a good treadmill and does the job. The plug in for the iPod is so helpful. It runs smooth. One more negative, don't expect to feel the fan blowing on your face - it is weak. Overall, would recommend.

Firstly, when I received the product a piece was cracked during shipping, i called and they told me they'd send out replacement parts to replace it, and I'd have a tech at my leisure come out to repair it.
I received a call about 10 minutes later saying those individual pieces were on backorder, which he found unnaceptable, so he shipped me the whole part OVERNIGHT.
Great customer service, and a great product. Buy this, you won't be dissapointed.

I like the treadmill a lot, but I wish the workout computer had better documentation on how to set up the workouts. Not clear to me and I feel like I am just guessing...
Rating:
Product packaging survived well during shipment. Easy to put together but it is very heavy (~190 lbs). Recommend leaving bolts loose in steps #2-4 until they are all installed and just snugged down then do final tightening. Quiet running and feels like a high quality product. Basic programs but sufficient for entry level product. Make sure you level the treadmill to ensure the belt tracks straight.

I didn't want to spend too much, but wanted a quiet treadmill, and I was willing to pay more than taking my chances on Wallmart. The treadmill is quiet, even in my small quarters! Easy to put together. A couple of screw holes needed cleaned out, but assembly went well. Everything worked! Love it!
Rating:
a bit loud and wish the belt was longer, but overall this is a good quality home treadmill for the price.
Rating:
I like the Treadmill, but have not been able to use it much because of the radio frequency interference it produces. The noise interferes with other audio and visual devices in the house while the treadmill is in use. Horizon customer service sent me an article to followup on the problem, but Horizon don't offer interference filters to prevent this problem. Many cases of this problem have been reported by treadmill users; it would be great if Horizon would be the first to offer a solution.

I have used tread mills at YMCA's for years. This unit is comparable in quality and function. I have noticed that the fan direction is off to the side, not pointing at the runner. It is very quiet and easy to operate. I also like the 1,2,3,... setting buttons for speed and elevation.

I love this treadmill. I been running and walking a mile per day! I have it sitting in my living room where I can watch TV.
Rating:
I had been in contact with someone with the Horizon company about receiving it damaged. I even took several picture's of the cracked console, the elscometers worn on both sides the small rubber things look used as well. The scratch on the metal down below. and I was supposed to be receiving parts to replace the cosmetic damages... I haven't I have a tech from the company lined up to fix it on Saturday (cause I work all week days)but he can't cause I haven't received the parts I was told the company sent last week and should have been here by now. SO another inconvenience... Over all I am sure I'd love it. I can tell it's sturdy but it looks used and is damaged!!! and I hadn't even used it the day I put it together and realized it was damaged. It's hard to rate something when u paid for new and it's NOT. And the problem has not been resolved! It also makes noises at times, not the ones when it's on. louder ones. So again, I am still waiting to hear back about where the shipment is to fix the brand new treadmill i bought, to make it,"look new." Signed a frustrated inconvenienced customer, that would have been completely happy, if it had arrived in excellent condition as paid for...

My wife and I have been on this treadmill daily since the day we received it. What a super machine! You get more than your money's worth and we are thrilled! Thanks to the folks at Horizon. Easy to set up, a pleasure to exercise on! Perfect!

I bought this largely based on my experience with a moderately used less-expensive treadmill and on the reviews I've read. I'm 65 and not in great shape, but I brought it home in my van and got it into the room where it's going to live by myself and had it assembled by the time my wife got home from work.--maybe 2-3 hours counting breaks.
It works well, as far as I can tell. The instructions for assembly and use were written by someone much too familiar with it and not checked by a newbie. I read the instructions line by line. They said to get the bolts out of bag #1, but didn't tell me the bag was inside a box. (Good place, but not obvious.) The didn't tell me what to do with a 1" x 5" x 30" board in the package. (Nothing--it's part of the packaging.)
Yes, it's heavy and it would have been nice to have someone to help me line up the holes, but I made it alone, so it can be done. Now hoping it lasts a long time.

Perfect so far as my first big fitness equipment purchase. It was quick and painless to put together, and easy to learn the controls. Love the speakers that plug into my iphone, great add-on. Heart rate monitor takes a little while to register your HR, but still seems accurate. One other negative, but not awful, feature is that I tend to always get shocked while on the machine. But maybe there's a specific way to reduce the static electricity and I just don't know it! Overall, I'm very pleased with the value.

Treadmill is level like directions state the incline , decline function does not work properly. Every thing else seems normal. Sometimes when the unit is powered up it goes to partial incline on its own. Will not function down or up after that . Very disappointed so far.

We were looking for a treadmill without dropping a ton of money. the local sporting goods store said this one was the best selling unit. i researched it online and it got a consumer best buy award and was only 599 on the horizon website. was fairly easy to set up. Diagrams on instructions could be larger. All parts were present. it gives a good variety of workouts, runs smooth and quiet and has nice feature like fan and MP3 hookup. We are very satisfied.

Very quiet once its running, however when turning power on, and then starting the machine it makes a series of loud beeps. I use my machine at night and my daughter in the next bedroom complains about the beeps when starting. But after that it's quiet. Otherwise, great machine. Needs 2 people to assemble, not too complicated. Once we got the belt adjusted, no problems.

When I first ordered it, they only shipped the mat. A week before Christmas I called. Which it was so hard to talk to a live person. Finally I did talk to someone about my order. He apologized because it was never shipped out. I was afraid I wouldn't get it for Christmas since this was a gift. If I didn't call I would still be waiting for it. I want to thank you for rushing this order and I did receive it two days before Christmas. My husband uses it every day. And he is really satisfied so far.

Second Horizon treadmill. Very nice machine well designed. I like the added touches like iPod dock and speakers. I am sold on the quality and workmanship of the product.

I received a phone call from the shipper the day before delivery of the treadmill and also right before he arrived, it was great to know exactly when it was going to arrive.
It took my (very handy) boyfriend about 30 minutes to set up the treadmill and he had no problems with it. When we decided to move it to another room, we found that it would not fit through a standard doorway and we had to take it apart to move it.
I've used the treadmill twice so far and am very pleased with it. See my full review on my blog: http://thespinachmonologues.wordpress.com/2011/12/22/treadmill-review/

runs quietly and smoothly. My only problem so far is trying to find a comfortable position for holding on to the side rails. I am a small senior lady and the rails are set too widely apart for me. At nearly eighty, I must hold on as I walk. i am working on "getting comfortable" as my former treadmill was more narrow. Also, it appears that the fan is set for a taller person, but I did know that going in from the comments. Am hopeful that I can work it out.

My wife loves this thing. She sets her Ipad on it and watches movies etc. The speakers are great.
Instructions say "don't take this out of the box until it's in the room you want to set up in...but you have to remove it from the box to find the directions. I used a motorcycle tie-down to wrap the thing up so it wouldn't spring apart while we hauled it upstairs. I don't think the whole box would have been possible to move or even fit.
Instructions were very clear and assembly was easy. Everything works. We had one of the first Horizon treadmills. The belt finally went and when the guy we hired to fix it came, the motor blew so we decided it was time for a new one. We like the heavy construction and the good damping of these treadmills. They are made well.

First time I have bought a treadmill and I am not disappointed. I use it once a day sometimes twice. Very well made- comfortable to run on. Like the inbuilt fan.
Would have liked more explanation in the handbook on how to set the controls.
Would also have liked a summary of what you have achieved when you finish your work out.
Very happy would certainly recommend the T101

No communication with costumer service has been possible despite sending to them an e-mail months ago. Hopefully with this honest comment someone will call me. tOtherwise I am very satisfied with product.

It is so nice to have the treadmill in the room with the tv. Now if I turn on the tv, I just get on and start walking instead of being a couch potato. If I jog, I have to turn the tv up to hear it, but most of the time I am doing a slow speed just so I can get some exercise in. It is heavy so not really able to move it around, but it hasn't gotten in the way. I have teenagers and they and their friends just ignore it.

I love this treadmill, and it was everything that Consumer Reports said it was. It is easy to use, easy on the feet and legs, and easy on the wallet. I walk on it while I watch my new big-screen TV, and it gives me a lift. I am eating correctly now, treadmilling. and having a ball. It's an attractive, solidly-built piece of exercise equipment with good features.

Pro: For the money, I don't think that there is a better value in this price range.
Cons: 1) Getting it was a chore -- the company that Horizon shipped it with handed it off to a local 3rd-party freight company that could have cared less how long my machine stayed on his truck (and there was no "ownership" of the problem on Horizon's part, at this point). 2) Assembling it, as others have indicated, is really a 2-person job (some bolt alignments are slightly off requiring more than 2 hands to leverage into place).

The treadmill fulfills all our needs. I just had back surgery and I am to walk on an even surface. My wife loves when the weather is bad andl she can't walk outside. I wish it had a warm to go along with the cool down.

I bought the T101 about 6 months ago and use it 3-5 times a week for about an hour each time with mixed running and walking. It serves perfect for this use. I wish the fan was adjustable because you have to be right up on the front to feel it but the MP3 player is a great bonus. Just the right amount of programs, I usually alternate between manual and interval. Speed and incline are great. It does require frequent lubrication to keep some of the noise down but it is easy enough to do. I would definitely recommend this product.

Digital read out stops keeping track of milege after 3 miles, and automatically goes to heart rate, with out you touching the machine, and then you can never get the mileage read out to work again after that.
The Digital read out for Heart rate does not work properly, and the read out bounces all over the place.
It is very upsetting not be able to track your mileage or heart rate.

My family has had no issues with this treadmill although we bought an eliptical that unfortunately just broke yesterday.

use it at home for the family to include walking the dog.easy to use,and setup wasnt to bad either.so far its used to fill the gap on rainy days when cant go out side and will become full time in the winter months.I did a lot of reviewing of my machines before I selected the horizon t101,so I feel I made the best informed choice.

It's a great treadmill for the most part---well priced, sturdy and user friendly. There are a few problems with it though. The circuit board blew out within the first few months. Happily, it was covered and they sent a new one right away, which my husband was able to install. The fan doesn't blow on my face--I am 5' 7", so I don't know exactly what the height is that they're aiming for, but it must be geared for someone much taller. Other than that, I love it and it has served its purpose well for a great price.

I purchased my treadmill this past December because I just couldn't endure another winter of bundling up to go running at the park. It is a very good quality, and I've run up to a 6-mile speed. It is very sturdy. The only issue I had was that it would build up static electricity as I'm running and whenever I'd touch any part of the machine, I'd get a mild zap. I think this would happen on any treadmill, not just this one. I have found that keeping a spray bottle with a mixture of water and fabric softener eliminates the static electricity. I just spray the machine every now and then.
The machine is fairly quiet although the noise of running drowns out my TV. I solved that problem by getting a set of speakers to attach to my TV. I turn the speakers on when I'm on the treadmill, and off if I'm not. This works great too.
I would recommend this treadmill to a friend.

Only complaint assuming I paid something for this which may not be true is all I want is speed control and incline control. All the programs etc you can set are a waste to me.
Also the fan is way too weak to be useful and I just use a regular floor fan so that is a waste of money.

I wasn't sure of exactly what I was looking for, but I wasn't looking for a huge machine with way too many bells and whistles. I'll take fewer toys for a solid unit with a good motor. I bought the T101 based on reviews I read, and haven't been disappointed.
I will mention the unit did not work when setup. I removed the plastic cover over the motor and quickly found two wires that had become unplugged, likely during shipping. Plugged them in and no problem.

I had a little trouble with the assembly and tightening the belt. It kept wanting to go to one side. I think this is a user error. Since the treadmill has been serviced, I have had no issues with it. I would suggest hiring a service person to help with assembly, to save yourself some headaches.

I took a lot of time and looked into what type of treadmill and the cost for what I was willing to spend
I did purchase your treadmill because of this and it is everything I wanted , expected and I am very happy with the product I use it every other day
the only complaint I had was not with your product but the shipping companies delevery of the product with damaged boxes and damage to the treadmill itself this was upsetting
but I contact your company and the person I spoke with was more than helpful he is a credit to your company
And I do tell everyone when the subject comes up about your quality product and the help with any problems again thank you

I walk on my treadmill while I work, 40 hours/week at 1.0-1.5mph. Getting close to a year now so I've put a lot of miles on it. I just wish I could connect it to a PC via USB to see or collect stats. I'd like to know how many miles I've gone on it (i.e. an odometer). I don't like that it resets my distance whenever I take a 5 minute break. These are nitpicks and overall I'm very happy with the price and performance. Would by the same one again.

Assembly was medium to easy. Not too complex. Calibrating the belt was also simple. About a month now, and runs very smoothly and quietly. MP3 plug-in is cool. Not too many programs, but 6 different options (3 workouts, 3 targets) combine well to give you some options. But I believe in calibrating workouts myself anyway.
Moving it around is a bit challenging.
All in all, very satisfied.

This product and a recumbent bike from this company arrived damaged and with parts missing. Attempts to get a human being through the customer service number took 3 phone calls & pretending to be a vendor instead of a "customer". Representitive was not friendly, unacceptable replacement parts were sent to us, & they informed me they will not honor their warranty further.
Recommendation: don't risk purchasing this "made in China" product.

Considering what I needed it for it is great. The mp3 hook up with speaker is a big plus. I have had it for about 4 months and use it 2-3 times a week for an hour to walk/jog. It is easy to use, pretty sturdy so it was a really good value for me. I would definately recommend if you are a casual/midweight exerciser.

It was a little time consuming and akward putting it together but it is sturdy and works well so a good value for the price. I have enjoyed the incline feature and the ipod/mp3 hook up with speaker or using my headphones. the pulse monitor takes a while to register with a reading but is fairly accurate for what it is. I am glad I made the purchase.

This is a wonderful treadmill. It doesn't have all the unnecessary bells and whistles that much more expensive machines might have, but it does what it is built to do and does it well. I am 200+ pounds and feel like this machine will carry me for many, many miles. It is tough, durable and functions perfectly.

I have had this treadmill for almost a year now and its still holding strong. I have had one occasion with an E1 error but after resetting it, all is well now. I use it mainly for walking on high incline and jogging. So far so good.
When it first arrived, I was not notified it was even shipped. I just happened to be at the house when it was being delivered. And the day after I recieved an e-mail saying my product had been shipped. Not sure what went on there but when I called customer service, I was on hold forever. Horizon needs to work on its communication better. Also, the treadmill display had small scratches and dents. Not a huge problem but I paid for a new product and this looked like a floor model.
All in all, the treadmill works great and so far no major problems.

No way to access Guide that contains all trouble shooting info.
Calling them gets you no where.
Lousy customer service sums it up.

Not a bad treadmill. Had difficulty getting delivery company to help bring it in to foyer even though that is what shipping I had ordered. They just wanted to put it in the garage. I assembled it and lubes the belt per the instructions but it made a noise. Turns out cover was cracked, flywheel for speed sensor was broken, and speed sensor was cracked. It took 30 minutes on the phone just to get a live person to talk to. I was informed it would take 2-3 days just to prep the parts for shipping and another 2-3 to ship. Also would take longer to get a tech to fix. A week later I finally received the parts and just fixed it myself. Seems to work now. Not a bad machine.

Bought this unit at Cdn Tire (CT5.2) same unit under different name. Very easy to assemble, although it is heavy and awkward, I managed to get it out of the van, downstairs and assembled on my own. Very sturdy and easy to use, our 7rd old can use it. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone for home use.

The frame is very sturdy, but I was not impressed with the quality of the rest of the unit. Cheap plastics and particle board for the deck. Mine came with loose screws and during assembly, some of the bolt holes were very hard to work with. But once together, it worked as expected.
Service & Delivery comments:
Delivery was excellent. I especially liked the free inside delivery considering the weight of the unit.
Service is quite good. All of my setup questions were answered courteously. I had a slight problem with a part and a replacement was sent out promptly. From my experience thus far, I think the low BBB rating for Horizon Fitness is out of context.

Didn't have a large budget, but for the money I'm very pleased with this purchase. Quieter and more solid than the "other brand" treadmill I used to use. Love the ipod jack. So far it's been only a few weeks, but I love it. The only thing I don't like (and it's not a problem) is that I think the fan is made for people taller than myself.

Setup was easy (~45 mins) but definitely requires two people.
Overall the product provides everything a reasonable exerciser would ever need. The motor is very strong and quiet, the belt is wide and long to give a comfortable and safe exercise area. And I love the cushioning there to save my knees. It does take some getting used to as running on cushioned belt feels different from regular running. Other features such as incline, speakers, fan, heart rate measure are pretty standard.
The piece looks nice (not as pretty as GS950T) and quality. This unit is not as heavy as say Reebok, so it is not the most stable treadmill in the world, but to me it is stable/safe enough and better than a lot of others I tried. Afterall, everyone loves their feather-light lift system for easy folding/unfolding.
I did run into an issue where one side of the motor cover rubs the belt crease a bit. Their world class customer service helped me fix the problem quickly. No complaints there but this is why I'm giving 4 stars only.
Service & Delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt and the product arrived in perfect condition. However, the carrier used would deliver to the garage only and not a single step inside. Make sure you have two reasonably strong people at home to receive the package.
Call the carrier to know the 2 hour window for delivery.
Customer service was outstanding. Responses were very prompt and friendly. Very impressed.
