One of the best decisions I've ever made is purchasing this machine. I've had it for over a year now and use it at least three times a week. It was very well built, in my opinion, and have had zero problems with the Horizon. I especially like the railing...gives me a sense of security because I sometimes lose my balance. It does not come with a lot of bells and whistles, which makes it uncomplicated for me. It gives me the data I want and nothing else. I highly recommend this elliptical.

This was the most fluid eliptical mechanism of the many machines I tried. The electronic software accompanying the unit lacks provisions for calculating caloric consumption based on body weight/ age that other machines possess.

*nicely built and movement is smooth
*good ipod contol for a variety of models
*accomodats auxillary input for non-iPod mp3 palyes
*electronic controls and display should be more sophisticated for such a nice machine
*no HR monitor pads on the swing arms
*fitness programing could offer a better selection

My 8 year old nephew even loves it.
It is smooth and quiet. Give me another cross training option in the fight against weight loss and maintaining that loss.

So far, I have been very pleased with my AT1501 Ascent Trainer. I feel it was a very good value.
My only criticism, is that I wish it allowed me to set workouts longer than 30 minutes, and it would display calories burned and distance covered.

I am a heart patient in need of a selection of cardio options to get my heart back on track. I already had a recumbent bike and an Airdyne. The addition of the Horizon AT1501 has been a dream come true. This machine has allowed me to reach a new level of heart fitness. It is stable while working. It is extremely quiet. It provides a total body workout and many variations from which to chose. The one caveat is that I would really have liked for it to provide overall program results and also watts. The machine was delivered quickly and my husband had it together within a couple hours. I highly recommend this machine to any and all that are looking to get their heart fit. Oh yes, it also has the side benefit of weight loss and muscle tone. ;) I also highly recommend buying direct from the Horizon Outlet Store online.
