Horizon Fitness EX79 Elliptical

Love the heavyduty feel to this machine. Sealed bearings, mp3 attachment w/ speakers and a fan. 20 workout veriations instead of the 10 on the cheaper models. 20inch stride!!!!! Solid quality feel to the whole machine. Totally worth the extra few 100 dollars. Gift for my wife and she and I are very happy with the purchase. Did have a few cracked plastic peices so I called the 1-800 number & they sent new ones in the mail after a couple minutes of questions.

The machine is well constructed. Very sturdy. Ease of assembly was a huge bonus. Having all the hardware separated in the packaging is an excellent idea. Kudos to your people for making an outstanding product.

Bought this elliptical about a month ago and am happy with the purchase. Assembly wasn't bad. I ended up taking the back piece of plastic of the thing as it was making an annoying noise while exercising. Other than that no problems.

The elliptical works great. The only thing i am disappointed in is not being able to use my ipad while using the machine. The tiny lip on the console is not big enough to hold on to my ipad and it slips off. I am sad that Horizon does not sell or recommend an accessory to handles this problem. Exercise is more of a chore if you can't read or watch movies while on the machine.

Only problem was with Shipping. Prearrange time and took time off work. They showed up early and refused to deliver to basement as arrange earlier.

We bought this so my wife would not have to go to the gym early in the morning, I have found myself using it much more than I thought I would have. I had not used an elliptical before this one, I enjoy it very much, it is very smooth going, it has just enough options to not make it complicated and I love the power incline adjustment. We had considered getting the EX69 which did not come with the power incline, I am very glad I. Went with the extra couple of hundred to get it. My wife uses it at least once a day, and twice every other day, I use it every other day. We rotate it with our other exercise routine. We will get our money's worth.

Amazing workout machine. So happy with it.

tried models that were 2,500 and gave them a thumbs down. For the money this elliptical is more bang for the buck than the more expensive models.

my husband was impressed by the secure packaging! he set it up smoothly! and now I LOVE using it!!! it is letting me reach my fitness goals! The only trouble now is getting me off of this machine! It is so comfortable to use. I love the controls! excellent machine!!!

I love the quality, ride and powered inclined of the EX79. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to use it because the levels do not adjust properly. Dissappointed that the machine needs to be worked on rather than ready to go when I need it most; right after the new year!! Tech support was very helpful and knowledgable and hopefully withing a week or two they will have the parts and service person here to get it going properly.

This is a wonderful machine. Gives a great workout and is very smooth and quiet. Very easy to put together and required no help. This machine is truly gym quality.

After reading tons of online reviews and trying out just as many ellipticals, I'm so happy with my purchase of the Horizon EX-79. It is even better than any of the machines at my gym and has tons of features for a great price. It is super quiet and smooth, has lots of variety in incline and resistance and workouts, a clear display, and it was easy to assemble (though it did take 3 hours), even though I'm a 51-year old, petite woman. I espeically love the arched, padded footpads. Buy it. You'll be glad you did!

The entire process of purchasing an elliptical from Horizon Fitness Outlet has been positive for my wife and me. Delivery was uncomplicated and the assembly of the elliptical was not diffiicult at all. The elliptical is very sturdy and the movements are smooth and quiet. The only drawback that I have noticed is that when you are using your MP3 through the elliptical, the volume control readout overrides the other data being provided. Using the MP3 player without going through the elliptical eliminates the problem and is an easy, unintrusive remedy.

I am so happy with the EX79. When I received it my husband was away, and I couldn't resist at least trying to put it together by myself. With the help of my 8 year old daughter, we got it together and I have been using it daily.
I picked this machine because of the extras. I haven't played around with all of the settings yet, but I love that I can control my playlist from the console.
The EX79 is very smooth and quiet when I'm using it. I am very happy that I took the leap from gym membership, to owning my own machine.

The EX79 has all of the features we were looking for. Quiet, smooth opreation. Easy controls to understand and operate. The ipod dock, and Nike+ capability.
The machine feels extremly solid as you are using it. Assembly was straight forward, following the step by step instructions, and using the tools that were included.
My only complaint might be that the audio speakers are not the highest quality sounding, but atill good.
Customer support has been great. A small plastic piece was damaged during shipping, and a replacement arrived at my door the day after I talked to them.
In all, you can't go wrong buying the EX79, I would reccomend it to my friends.

Great machine!!

We had a horizon treadmill and wanted a machine that would be easier on my wife's knee and foot. After doing a lot of research we felt the EX79 was a good elliptical for the money. We use the machine regularly and we really like it.

Easy assembly! The EX79 is sturdy and gives a really great workout. The ipod hookup is a great additional as is the power incline. Well worth the money for such good quality...

Great quality elliptical... Glad I spent a little more money than your average elliptical... This machine is just as good as the one I use at the gym...

I looked at Precor and just couldn't justify the big money. The Horizon was well priced and had the extra electronic interfaces that Precor did not, e.g., iPod and Nike+.

Shipping was very quick Packaging was reasonably good, but could be improved. Build quality is very good. Assembly was simple and the instructions well thought out.

I have been using the heck out of my EX79 and am very happy to have it as the centerpiece of my home gym.

I bought this unit to save my life. I tested this unit at the store along with other display units and found this unit to be the only "knee friendly" machine. The ability to use this machine without knee or leg pain has allowed me to put in my 30 minutes per day exercise and will probably save my life.

Bought this 3 days ago. Wife and I both love it. Easy to vary routines. Smooth motion is easy on hips, back, knees and shins. Able to do 60 minutes the second day. Having been doing 30 minutes on Schwin at work for 2 months. Like the motion and various workouts on the Horizon much better.
